Case Conrad is scheduled to play Greenville tomorrow night (8:30 pm, Tues., 11/30) at the Starlight Cafe. Nolan Smock (The Charming Youngsters) and Madonna Bowery are the opening acts. The folks from Moxie Promotions and Spazz Presents have really done a great job of booking the band. They are also scheduled to appear on the ECU campus radio station (WZMB, 91.3 FM) at 6:00 pm, and then at East Coast Music and Video, where they will perform a special acoustic set at 7:00 pm.
Case Conrad is a quartet from Stockholm, Sverige who are currently making their way through the southern portion of the U.S. Anchored by Gustav Haggren’s wonderful vocals, their music is sometimes stark, sometimes ethereal.
I’ll be honest, I never heard of this band before last week, but they’ve streamed their latest album, Dewpoint (see below), and it’s a winner in my book. Hold Up This Song, Igloo, Murder of Spring, and Riverboat jumped out at me after a few times through it.
Wow… a cool new band from Sweden (it’s amazing how many great acts are coming out of Sverige) trampling across the U.S. and enjoying it (linked to travel blog for the band). Sounds like a good gig to me.
If you are available and in the area, please come check them out. This has the potential to be a great series of shows from a band who are on the rise.
